Sport Fencing Markham (SFM) Mission:

Promote, develop and deliver the sport of fencing within Markham; to aid and guide the local development of the sport, and to serve as a liaison with the Ontario Fencing Association.

To expand the sport of fencing to York Region and allow its athletes to be represented in other cities, throughout Ontario and Canada.

The Ontario Fencing Association (OFA) and SFM is committed to the promotion and delivery of the sport of fencing, a year-round, highly disciplined activity, based on a high degree of physical fitness and technical skill, offering a socially acceptable outlet for individual competitive instincts, particularly amongst the young, and combining the historic charm of an age-old combative activity ensuring totally objective judgment of results.
